The International Women Entrepreneurial Challenge was established in Barcelona in 2007, with the goal of connecting small & mid-size women business owners globally - those who are already in the global marketplace and want to expand or, those who are ripe to get into the market and learn from other women leaders.

 

The 2023 conference was held in Turin, Italy, hosted by the Turin Chamber of Commerce & Industry. This year, the 2024 IWEC 17th Annual Conference will be held in Barcelona, Spain from February 9-11th, 2025. The 2024 awardees will be presented with their award during the event.

 

Conferences to date have been held in Barcelona, Spain; New York City, New York, United States; New Delhi, India; Cape Town, South Africa; Stockholm, Sweden; Istanbul, Turkey; Brussels, Belgium; Seattle, Washington, United States; Madrid, Spain; and Shanghai, China.
